Here's a good question we've heard, "How do they stay on,... tape"?

No, but that might work... Here's what we do:

We use high grade adhesive for its ability to make complete and even contact across the entire surface. This method maximizes adhesion and maintains the straightest surface profiles.

-Apply a modest layer of included adhesive to cleaned and prepared surface of tailgate top or sails, usually about 1/2 tube of included adhesive. The amount used should be enough to make contact between plastic and stainless steel cover, but not so much that excess is squeezed out of seams with contact. Apply a light and even pressure to seat The Cybercap or Cybersails, maintain gentle pressure using light weights of some kind, if possible, during glue curing process. Watch for overflow from over application, be prepared to wipe / clean excess adhesive before drying.

Its ready to go when glued, but highly recommended to let the installation rest under light pressure overnight in a dry environment for best results.

If you look closely at other high end stainless steel covers out there for Cybertruck tailgate top and sails, you'll find many of them use bolts or other fasteners to attach. Although they certainly work to affix themselves to your truck, bolt heads either stick out or are visible. They often have subtle to obvious wavyness or curves created by spaced fasteners and uneven tension across the panel. We didnt want to see fasteners or distractions from the aesthetic. Cybertruck is designed to have clean lines and a crisp geometric appearance, and we love it.

One of our inspirations in the beginning was to make covers that blend right in to the lines and silhouette of the Cybertruck. Improve and enhance, not distract or change the precise profile that us Cybertruck owners admire.
